What Causes Forgetfulness For A 26-year-old Nursing Mom?

I am a 26 year old nursing mom of an 8month old. I have been very forgetful and clumsy. I loose everything and forget names and words. It is starting to worry me and my husband. I have broken toes and forget to put a new diaper on the baby after taking off the old one. What could be causing this?

General Surgeon 's  Response
Hello,

The forgetfulness of transient episode can be related to excess stress, fatigue or inadequate rest of mind. If on persistent basis, there can be dysfunction of brain neurotransmitters via pituitary apoplexy or Sheehan syndrom after excess blood loss during delivery. Kindly consult your physician for primary work up and let him or her decide to undertake an MRI or other needy evaluation for diagnostic approach.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. Bhagyesh V. Patel, General Surgeon
