What Causes Forgetfulness Of The Day S Activities In An Elderly Overweight Man?
My colleagues husband just called her and cannot remember driving her to work or stopping to get coffee on his way home. But he remembers yesterday. He is overweight and probably 70 and we were concerned about stroke. She had to keep repeating herself on the phone.
I understand your concern. Based on the sudden onset, it seems like your colleague's husband was having a mini stroke, otherwise known as transient ischemic attack. In addition to loss of memory and confusion, it is also usually accompanied by weakness in one of the limbs. However, he needs to be seen by a doctor as soon as possible in order to undergo tests to confirm the diagnosis, get the necessary treatment and prevention for future recurrences.
Wishing you all the best.
