What Causes Forward Curvature Of The Neck?

Hi I m concerned about my posture, my neck seems to curve out front almost like a camel, my chest sticks in, and I have poor control of my shoulders. I think it could be kyphosis but my back isnt as rounded. I d say the only thing abnormal is my neck and I think my shoulders are starting to get round.

General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hello,

The most common cause of the problem you are mentioning is bad posture. You will need to get some exercises to strengthen the muscles that are responsible for the posture and do them regularly. Sometimes it is advisable to get them from a professional, like a physiotherapist, for instance.
You will also have to be cautious about how you sit and lay so that you do not keep your body in bad positions and favor the posture changes you mentioned.

I hope this answers your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
