What Causes Foul Odour Before And After Periods?

I was prescribed lo loestrin almost a year ago and didn t get any symptoms until recently. But what we have noticed is a foul odor (and strong) before and after my period. I shower daily and clean properly. What is going on and why is this happening? I was on ortho trycyclen lo before and switched because that made me overly emotional. Not sure what to do here

Hello,

Foul vaginal odor without any concurrent symptoms could be due to Bacterial Vaginosis (disruption of normal vaginal flora). Vaginal swab microscopy can confirm the diagnosis. Once the diagnosis is confirmed, management is with Antibiotic(metronidazole).
