What Causes Foul Penis Odor In A 60 Year Old?
I am a 60 year old male and I have been noticing a strong smell coming from my penis. It happens within hours after I have bathed and cannot understand why this happens. Is it a sign of anything? It has been going on for a few years now and I don t know what to do.

Hi,
The smell coming from the penis after the bath is usually due to the typical secretions of the skin glands in this area. This is called smegma and has a peculiar smell. This surely is monitored by the testosterone and estrogen levels. If there is no wound or ulcer there is nothing to worry about.
Another reason can be balanoposthitis and since you are 60 years old diabetes should be ruled out. Also, get your blood estrogen and testosterone levels done.
If there is any rash or evidence of any infection a course o a proper antibiotic, metronidazole and locally Liquid Povidone Iodine should solve your problems.
If there is any excessive preputial skin then circumcision helps to alleviate this problem. Consult your Surgeon or a Dermatologist if needed and get your wife a checkup by a Gynecologist.
