Hello,

In few cases of viral infection lead to secondary bacterial infection. This secondary infection assosiated with anerobic bacteria with sinus blockage lead to foul smell mucous.

So use water vapour inhalation thrice a day for five days. Avoid cool drinks and ice creams. Use tablet amoxicillin and clavulinic acid 625 mg twice a day for five days.

If symptoms not improved please consult with your ENT specialist he will examine and treat you accordingly.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Take care

Regards,
