I am a 47 yr old married woman. Each month, a day or so prior to my period, I get a foul smelling odor and thin yellowish discharge. Some months are worse than others. Right now I can feel slight cramps and know my period is about to start. I m also having a nasty farting smelling discharge that is so loud and embarrassing that at work today I put on a tampon to contain the odor. I m almost certain my husband isn t cheating, but you never know. I do know I haven t had sex with anyone else and am concerned that my husband not being circumsized may be a factor. We also have a very healthy and frequent sex life and he performs oral sex often . I m embarrassed to say, my husband does not have good oral hygiene and does not brush his teeth every day. My mind is racing: could his yuck mouth or dirty pens be contributing to this discharge I m having? If so, why is it not evident until a few days before my period? We have my the same doctor and I will definitely be calling him in the morning to get this checked out. in the past, it s always been diagnosed as BV, but I m a very conscientious woman who uses nothing but antibacterial soaps and I don t douche. I m very clean (unlike my hubby, although he doesn t smell or look nasty) and need some answers about what s going on with my body. Please help, and don t respond with general info.
