What Causes Foul Smelling Urination While On Nitrofurantoin?

Ok I have a daughter with spina bifida and she taking nitro fur ant microdantin 100mg yellow color for almost 6 month and she’s having a strong Oder in her urine every time she catch herself. She used to take the white color 25mg and she never had this bad strong order. I was thinking if it’s from the medication. She not having any fever or vomiting. It’s just the it’s very bad smell when ever she drains. She had a bladder augmentation. A tube connected from her bladder to side of her left upper hips. That’s were she drains and flush with saline water every time she drains. She never had this strong odes before. Shall I take her to see a doctor.

no treatment can be advised for spina bifeda. can use some protective devise in buttock physiotherapy can be recomanded take analgesic for pain. order in urine is for excreation of drug in urine. drink more water.
