What Causes Foul Smelling Vaginal Discharge?

I have had a strong fishy odor and a lot of discharge lately. Like I can smell myself through my pants and I am moist as well on my jeans down there. I just had a pap and it isn t BV. I m married so no STD my husband and I are faithful. I bought summers eve douch and when I did it in the shower it stung. Is this normal? I have never done this before so I m unsure.
