What Causes Fractured Femur With No Other Injuries After A Fall?

My son was taken into A & E 2 weeks ago, me and the mother are seperated and are not on good terms, she rekons my son has fallen from a top bedroom window, i've now discovered that the only thing that is wrong after this "fall" is he has a fractured Femur could this be possible with no other injuries?
