What Causes Frequent And Heavy Urination?

I am having some urinary discomfort. I used the rest room and not even 5 mins later had to go again. very lengthy amounts each time . feeling a full bladder every 5 mins and going. I iam taking a over the counter med to help with the relief. I have had a lot of back pain yesterday, but not today.

It usually is due to either Urinary tract Infection or Diabetes Mellitus. If a patient presents with such symptoms to my clinic, the best way to proceed is to go for diagnostic testing and to run some Lab work so as to know the cause of the disease.


Advised:-
Comprehensive metabolic profile testing.
Urine complete examination.
Urine culture and sensitivity.

After the test results are in hand and there is evidence of Infection Rifaximin is a good choice if not allergic to (or the urine report detects some pathogen not covered by it).

If Labs suggest Diabetes, it has a different protocol of management.
