What Causes Frequent And Recurring Cold?

I'm am taking Eritel-40 (Telmisartan) for the last 1.5 years. Off late i'have noticed that i in the last 4-5 months i am getting runny nose every now and then i.e frequency of cold has become quite high (Atleast once in a week). Is there any relationship between the two.

Hi Dear,

Welcome to HCM.

Understanding your concern. As per your query you have symptoms of frequent and recurring cold which seem sto be due to chronic upper respiratory tract infection. Need not to worry about it. I would suggest you to take nasal sprays and do warm saline gargles. You should take combination of antibiotic such as Ciprofloxacin along with antiinflammatory medication. You should avoid cold carbonated beverages. Visit ENT specialist once and get it examined. You should get paranasal sinus x-ray done along with otoscopic examination and start treatment after proper diagnosis. Avoid oily and sharp food. Drink plenty of fluids.

Hope your concern has been resolved.
