What Causes Frequent Attacks Of Oral Thrush And BV?
Hi, I am 21, Female. Never diagnosed with anything serious, but I do suffer from thrush and BV frequently for the last 5 years. I tried to get pregnant for 18 months with no luck. I got pregnant after 18 months but baby was stillborn. . I have always had normal and very regular periods. although for the last 4/5 years i suffered with pelvic pain. I went to see a doctor privately and was told I had a sluggish bowel which made sense because I suffer with constipation and pain was always worse when constipated. I am now still having pain maybe 1 or two times a week even though I am going to the toilet regularly. I was diagnosed with chlamydia when I was 15. I had no symptoms so I don t know how long it was there for. What do you think it could be? PS after first baby, I tried for another 6 months with no luck. I am now using contraception.
Hello and Welcome to ‘Ask A Doctor’ service.
I have reviewed your query and here is my advice.
You really need to have a gyno check-up including speculum examination to visualise inside vagina and cervix. If there is infection a culture swab can collect it for testing. Proper medicine for 1 to 2 weeks will clear your problems. Also need to treat your partner and avoid intercourse for 10 days during the treatment.
Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
