Hi,I am Dr. Shanthi.E (General & Family Physician). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
my son is 34 with history of mental health issues , lately he has been experiencing blackouts or losing time . He does thing he does not remember and has even driven across town and does not know how he got there. We are not letting him drive anymore , he has also walked away from home twice and not remembered it
I reviewed your history. These symptoms indicate transient ischemic attack. This requires evaluation to rule out causes like hypoglycemia, hypovolemia, hypotension... Hence I advice you to consult your doctor for examination and treatment accordingly.
Thank you
