What Causes Frequent Bowel Movements After A Cholecystectomy?

I had my gall bladder removed two years ago and I am still having a bowl issue. I can t go anywhere unless there is a bathroom available. It is like an explosion when I go and it comes on quickly. What can I do to help this situation. I am afraid to go anywhere.

Gastroenterologist 's  Response
Hi,

Diarrhea after cholecystectomy is a side effect of it.
It is due to biliary acids and you should use cholestyramine to improve your symptoms.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. Klerida Shehu, Gastroenterologist
