What Causes Frequent Bowel Movements After Taking Ibuprofen?

My 2 1/2 year old daughter has had 4 bowel movements in 2 days. 3rd was slightly soft and 4th liquid but some solid. Last 2 have no odors. She has not been eating much last couple days. She has had an ear infection and has been taking antibiotics going on her 6th day now. She was also taking 2 inhalers, ibuprofen for pain and cough medicine. Not sure if this can effect it. Right now she does not have fever.

Hi,

Ibuprofen does not cause loose motion. As you are taking antibiotics, so tablet Amoxicillin may cause loose motion. Kindly consult with pediatrician and keep her hydrated. Give her soft diet.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. Shyam B. Kale,
