What Causes Frequent Cramps In The Left Foot?

Thank you - my 18 year old son has frequent cramps in his left foot, and I just noticed bruising on the bottom of that foot. His feet are also unusually cold (even with rest of body warm). Thankfully, he is a active and healthy (good BMI) young man. Does this merit a Dr s visit? thank you

General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hello Dear. Cramps in the foot may be just a result of strain and stress in the foot if your son is playing football or jogging etc. Another possibility of cramps may be calcium deficiency. kindly consult a physician in case the problem is there on a daily basis.

Eat calcium rich food, milk etc. He should be fine by then. Nothing to worry.

Hope i have answered your question. Feel free to contact me if you have any more questions. I ll be glad to help you.
All the best
With warm regards
Dr Sanjay Kini
