Medical history: Osteoarthritis with degenerative disc disease, negative cardiac hx, no hypo/hyper glycemia, no hx CA in family, never used tobacco, mild alcohol use (3 drinks/week). Diagn of sarcoidosis in 2003 with no new granulomas for the last seven years. Have not used inhalers for over 5 yrs. Present meds: Bupropion 300mg, 1tab qd in a.m.; Modafinil 100mg tab qd in a.m.; Amphetamine Salts, 10mg tab tid; Lyrica, 1 100mg cap at bedtime; Gabapentin, 1200mg at bedtime; Quetiapine, 1 100mg tab at bedtime. General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hi,

First of all, it's sad to know what you had been going through lately. Based on the history you have shared, you need to have a detailed endocrine work up.

Starting from Thyroid levels to cortisol levels as well as urinary VMA or metanephrine levels may be needed.

May need to use beta-blockers like propanol etc after EKG if the heart rate isn't too slow and after discussing with a cardiologist for controlling over sympathetic drive of body.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Take care

Regards,
Dr Saddiq Ulabidin, General & Family Physician
