What Causes Frequent Diarrhea In Infant?

Dear Sir, I have baby of 9 months. He is developing his teeth, already 6 teeth came. He has getting loose motion almost every hour, foamy, little little, watery..I am giving ofloxacin and ornidazole suspension alongwith econorm ORS. I started the medicine today only. Loose motion also started today morning only. till now not much improvement. kindly suggest.

loose stool in baby is due to the adaptation of the baby intestine to the naturally occurring bacteria and new food. as the milk is free from bacteria.
so see to it your child is given frequent breast feeding and water.
you can give frequent ORS syrup also.

look for warning signs of dehydration like dry mouth, sunken eyes, tiredness, dry tongue. if any one of this occurs take him to a near by hospital.

do not worry it will slowly come to normal. see to it child is getting properly re-hydrated.
