What Causes Frequent Dizziness Along With Stiffness And Soreness In Neck?

I have had many dizzy spells, some lasting for hours. This has been going on for several months (since August). Now (the past week or two) I am having a stiff, sore neck (the back of the neck, right at the base of my skull) in conjunction with the dizziness. I have been to an ENT and my family doctor, both are trying to rule out what s going on.

Understanding your concern. As per your query you have frequent dizziness along with stiffness and soreness in neck . Well there can be many reasons for symptoms you mention in query , but in your case the symptoms are probably due to cervical spondolysis , cervical radiculopathy or ear problem like meniere's disease . I would suggest you to consult orthopedic surgeon for proper examination . Doctor may take history , order x-ray , CT scan or MRI of neck to confirm the diagnosis . Doctor may prescribe muscle relaxant along with anti inflammatory , recommend physical therapy or particular stretching exercises . Doctor may refer you to ENT specialist again for proper checkup . For now avoid bending forward , drink green tea thrice a day and apply warm compresses to neck .
