What Causes Frequent Dryness And Redness In The Throat?
I've had a red dry throat for a little while now idk what's wrong with me :( it comes and goes I've gotten a couple swab tests and all came back good I see some veins back on the esophagus also I see a crater like thing on the left side of my throat I don't feel sick at all it's just my throat please help!
Understanding your concern. As per your query you have symptoms of frequent dryness and redness in the throat which seems to be due to lowered down of immunity because of upper respiratory tract infection.
Need not to worry. I would suggest you to
Do gargles with warm saline rinses and take combination of decongestants and multivitamin tablet. You should avoid touching eyes, nose again and again. Drink plenty of fluids. Take proper course of antibiotics along with anti-inflammatory medications. Your symptoms will resolve in 5-7 days. If your symptoms keeps on persisting the visit ENT specialist once and get complete examination done. You should get blood and throat swab tests done. Start treatment after complete examination. You should take throat lozenges.
Hope your concern has been resolved.
Get Well Soon.
Best Wishes, Dr. Harry Maheshwari
