Hi,I am Dr. Shanthi.E (General & Family Physician). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
What Causes Frequent Episodes Of Fever With Body Aches?
I have had frequent episodes of fevers with body aches for almost 2 weeks. The fevers initially would spike to between 101 and 102. Now they seem to top out below 100. I have been to see the doctor three times during this time period. Was initially put on a Z-pak for possible pneumonia which did not help. Then put on Ceftin BID for 10 days for sinus infection which I am still taking. Also finished the Z-pak. Had chest x-ray on 12/12 which was normal. Urinaysis normal. Overall, much less achy but still not feeling right. Guess I need to let virus? run course. What are your thoughts. Have not been able to return to work yet. I work in healthcare.

General & Family Physician, Dr. Vasudha's Response
Hi,
Frequent low grade fever with body ache... indicates infection in body . This can be viral/bacterial ... you need to get your blood counts done to find presence of infection by bacteria 6, after a detailed physical by expert physician. He may order blood test for viral infection too.
Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
