What Causes Frequent Headaches, Runny Nose And Mild Fever?

My 6 year old has frequent headaches but tonight he said this is the worst one he s ever had and he describes it as rough . He s had 2 doses of ibuprofen and just gave him Tylenol. He took over a 2 hour nap lasting till 3:30 and he already wants to go back to bed. He also has a runny nose, a mild fever of only 99.2 and he has not vomited. Seeing that it s Christmas evening I really don t want to overreact and take him to the emergency room. So I guess I m hoping you can tell me at what point should I be really concerned?

General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hi,

Your toddler seems to be having recurrent upper respiratory tract infection either as influenza or else.

If the vaccination shots are being provided on time, I think he must be addressed to his paediatrician for a complete course of necessary antibiotics and infection control.

Till that time, steam inhalation will work best along with Tylenol.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
