I have had a pretty bad headache for about 36 hours. I get headaches very frequently and they are usually relieved with OTC pain medication. This headache however remains unrelieved. I have recently noticed what feel like cracks in the top of my forehead along hair line. It had been worrying me that something could be causing my skull bones to try to expand. Is this possible? Thanks for your time. Candie
I think that your headache may be migraine or a sinusitis. I wouldn't exclude a drug induced headache which is caused by chronic intake of painkillers. I would like to know if you have nausea, vomiting or gait problems or fevers.
A brain lesion which raises the intracranial pressure would cause progressive headache and other symptoms like the above mentioned.
I recommend you to consult with the GP for a careful physical examination. A routine blood analysis and a brain CT scan may be needed.
