What Causes Frequent Lightheadedness?

Evenings, several times a month I have palpitations, lightheadedness, and feel like I m going to pass out. Sometimes my husband has to help me get to bed as I can t stand up. I thought it was linked to eating too much sugar in the evening. I ve cut out sugar and it still happens occasionally but not as frequently.

General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hello
I appreciate your concern
Looking at your description, I would advise you to consult your GP or family physician for checking of blood pressure and battery of other tests like blood for hemoglobin, CBC, Liver function test, blood sugar fasting and post prandial and lipid profile.

In my opinion it might not be related solely to eating sugar in the evening, it warrants detailed evaluation to find out underlying cause.

If you can write back to me with your age, weight and relevant medical history, I will be able to tell you more accurately.
Best wishes
