What Causes Frequent Menstrual Cycles Post Termination Of Pregnancy?

I have a quick question, I had an abortion on January 30th, and my normal period came back on the 8th of March (which is when I started using birth control) it lasted awhile and finally ended on March 18th, then again the following week on March 27th my period came back (again?) is this normal? It is now March 31st and I m still on it. It s also very watery and thin ?

Hello,

It's very common to have delayed or frequent periods after an abortion. It's also common to bleed heavily after an abortion. These irregularities will spontaneously disappear after 2-3 cycles.

The following are few conditions when you should consult a gynecologist:
1) If bleeding doesn't stop even after 15 days
2) If the blood clots are very large and more than the size of a lemon
3) Fever with body aches

Your bleeding is quite normal and you need to have nutritious food to compensate bleeding. Watery and thin secretions can be seen after abortion.
