What Causes Frequent Pain In Groin?

I have sharp pains in left groin. It feels like a pinched nerve or tendon. It almost knocks me to the ground my leg feels like it is dead. It stays around for a few minutes to several minutes and then passes. It comes back frequently while walking and it is always there while sleeping.

Yes, it may be due to the vertebral problems or issues with the intervertebral disc, that sometimes get prolapsed and causes the pain due to impingement of the vertebrae on the spinal nerves emitting from them and supplying the lower limbs.

Another possibility may also be there and that is the nerve compression due to impingement of the metastatic cancer tumors in the area of the spinal nerves in the area. I have no detailed history and I am not of the view that it may be cancer. But definitely you need a thorough checkup.

You need to consult an Orthopedist who will do physical examination and some office based clinical examination and then will go for a CT Scan Plain and with contrast to rule out the cause. An MRI may also be needed if Orthopedist feels necessary.
