What Causes Frequent Pain On The Right Side Of The Neck?

I am getting a frequent pain on the right side of my neck. Comes and goes. Thought that it may be how I am sleeping but it has been about 2 weeks now. Was checking site to see what this could be related to and if this would be common with a stiff neck from sleeping

Pain on neck region while sleeping may be because of sleeping at same position.
Jurking movement of neck may cause pain on neck region .

Cervical spondylitis may cause neck pain problem.
According to your complain prolonged one position cause neck pain problem.

Mostly muscle strain cause this type of pain.
Any trauma to neck muscle may cause neck pain.
