What Causes Frequent Passage Of Air Bubbles From The Anus?

About every 15 minutes I get a little bubble that kind of just escapes out of my anus. It has no smell, it doesn t feel like a fart. It just feels like a little air bubble. My stomach doesn t hurt, and I seem to be going to the bathroom alright. I m a male, if that helps determine anything at all. It s more annoying than anything because it s slight discomfort.

General Surgeon 's  Response
Hello,

It’s a sign of irritable bowel disease. As of now, you can take laxatives like lactulose for symptomatic relief. If symptoms persist better to consult a gastroenterologist and get evaluated.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Take care

Regards,
Dr Shinas Hussain, General & Family Physician
