What Causes Frequent Rise In BP Levels?

My mother is 86 and is taking medication for high blood pressure. She woke up dizzy this morning, with elevated BP readings of 188/96. She took her medication, and it went down through the day, but this evening is elevated again 191/95. What should I do to deal with these symptoms?

Hi.

In such cases the anti-hypertensive should either be prescribed in a split dosage to be taken in the morning and evening or two dosages should be preacribed to be taken twice daily. Speak to your doctor about the same.

Best wishes.
