What Causes Frequent Urge To Urinate While Suffering From Spondylolisthesis?

I have stage 2 spondylolisthesis and now am noticing that I feel like I have to urinate constantly. When I try to urinate, usually there is nothing, but I still have the urge. When I do urinate, I am not feeling any relief. Could this mean that my spine is pressing into my nerves that would make me feel this way. My spondylolisthesis is at L4/L5

Hello and welcome to HCM,
The symptoms that you have mentioned - urge to urinate and no urination when trying to pass urine are suggestive of some nerve related disorder. of bladder.
Bladder is supplied by spinal nerves S1, S2 and S3.
These nerves emanate at level higher than that of the respective vertebrae.
Thus, the spinal nerves lie near to the vertebrae L4 and L5.
It is quite possible that spondylolisthesis at level L4 and L5 can affect the spinal nerves - S1, S2 and S3.
Management of spondylolisthesis will help to relieve the urinary bladder symptoms.
However, I suggest you to consult an urologist for clinical assessment, relevant investigations, diagnosis and thus management.

Thanks and take care
