What Causes Frequent Urination After Cataract Surgery?
I have been experiencing urinary frequency since my cataract surgery on Oct. 11th...Going to have 2nd eye done on Oct 25th...Is this a side effect of Ofloxacin?...Also using Prednisolone and Ilevro...I called eye dr. and surgical coordinator said she never heard of that happending... cja
Urinary frequency is not known to be related to cataract surgery and it is also not known as a side effect of ofloxacin.
Ofloxacin is an antibiotic which can be used for different types of infections including urinary tract infections. This means that it treats symptoms of urinary tract infections (such as frequency) and not known to cause it.
You may need a urine analysis to get an idea of the cause.
Causes include: (1)infection- not as likely since already taking an antibiotic (2)diabetes (3)incontinence (4)urinary stone- would normally be associated with pain (5)diabetes insipidus- problem with concentrating urine
I hope this helps
