What Causes Frequent Urination And Bloating When On NuvaRing?

Hello. I started on the NuvaRing almost 4 weeks ago. The first one I used I only kept in for a week because I was in a lot of pain and had very bad side effects from using it. Then, I removed it for a week and proceeded to attempt a 2nd time with a new ring. Ever since I have started the new ring, I have had sexual intercourse with multiple partners, the first being 2 days after insertion. In the past few days I have noticed an increase in urination, bloating, constipation and different colors of discharge that has slightly increased. What could this be?

Hi, I have gone through your question and understand your concerns. Nuvaring contains hormones estrogen and progesterone, which have side effect of bloating, weight gain, thick vaginal discharge and breast tenderness.
Increase in frequency of micturition is likely due to urinary tract infection.
I would suggest you to get your urine examination and vaginal swab examination done and further management should be done accordingly.
