What Causes Frequent Urination And Pain In The Urethra?

For the past two years of takin birth control, my peeing has never been the same and today it’s absolutely worse. Its 2:08am, I have to wake up at 5:00am for work and instead of sleeping, I am peeing. I am peeing only a few drops at a time and if I stop I get that urge to pee again. I can feel my urethra is getting sore but i cant stop or else the urge to go pee will be stronger. Im in a lot of pain and no way to get out of this. This has gone to far and is affecting my sleep and ability to function at work. I am not pregnant. Negative in any sort of STDS. (I checked) and I am starting a new birth control which I feel will make this worse. What can I do to know what the problem is and stop it.

hi mam,i understand your agony.you mentioned birth control,please make it a bit clear.is it an IUD or just pills.if its an IUD,the following are the probable causes :
1)dislocation of iud and injury to urinary bladder or urethra.
2)urinary tract infection.
urine test and urine culture and sensitivity are recommended.if both come normal,a cystourethrogram (x ray of bladder and urethra when bladder is full and while urinating are taken)is done to know the cause.for this,you need to consult a gynecologist who would guide you further.hope you get my point.any further clarifications from my side,please let me know.thank you.take care.bye.
