Hi,I am Dr. Shanthi.E (General & Family Physician). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
What Causes Frequent Urination And Tenderness In Penis Opening?
I have been urinating a lot the last few days and have some tenderness at the head of the penis. I am worried about diabetes but I don t seem to have any other side effects like excessive thirst or hunger. I don t feel tired or inactive. Please give me your thoughts. I also take a diuretic pill but never noticed this much urination. I also feel full after urinating like it all did not come out. Thanks Dan
As per my surgical experience, the issue of frequent urination with tenderness over the penis opening may be indicative of underlying calculus or gravels, narrowing from various causes as recurrent infection of diabetic or others in the distal urethra most likely. In my clinic, I do recommend a physical examination to rule out phimosis condition and if there is no phimosis one requires urine culture with ultrasound of the kidney, ureter, bladder and urethra for final wordings of management guidelines.
Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Dr. Bhagyesh V. Patel, General Surgeon
