Hi,I am Dr. Shanthi.E (General & Family Physician). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
What Causes Frequent Urination, Dry Mouth And Itching In The Abdominal Area?
I am having frequent urination and dry mouth along with itching in the abdominal area. I am 47 years old. My itching is the worst in the lower abdomen area but is also on other areas of the body. Trying to figure out if these symptoms are related. I have always been a big drinker of fluids. No alcohol, I just drink a lot. I am more easily fatigued at this point in my life. Maybe that is normal. I awake atleast once a night to urinate and most nights twice.
There can be various reasons for frequent urination, dry mouth and itching lower abdomen area as: - Recurrent fungal or bacterial, viral infection of skin - Blood sugar alteration - Immune related ill effects concerning that of sympathetic and parasympathetic pathways
The frequent urination can further be part of prostate development, calculus or gravels in the urinary system or else. Need a detailed systemic evaluation physically with series of lab tests to look into the matter further precisely and guide accordingly.
Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
Regards,
Dr. Bhagyesh V. Patel, General Surgeon
