What Causes Frequent Urination While On Antibiotics For UTI?

i was told i had a uti by my doctor last Thursday night. I was given an antibiotic. Plus the pill that turns ur pee yellow or orange. the pills helped a little for Friday sat, and Sunday i finished the yellow pills yesterday ever since i am back to peeing every 5 minutes. Is this normal I still have 3 A.B. pills left. 2 for tomorrow, and 1 for next day. They were prescribed for 2 a day.

Thanks for posting in HCM.
Frequent urination persists for sometime in few people who have urinary tract infection, when on antibiotics. This is mainly caused due to irritation of mucosa due to infection.
If the infection is more, it may take some time for everything to clear and settle back to normal.
Now, complete the course of antibiotics what the doctor has advised. Drink citrus fruit juices or Citralka syrup, which will help to reduce mucosal irritation. You should get better in a couple of days.
In case the symptoms persist, probably it is due to ineffectiveness of action of antibiotics due to organism resistance. Hence the infection is not cleared completely. In that case, you need to get your urine culture & sensitivity done. Based on the result you have to take appropriate antibiotic course.
