What Causes Frequent Urination With Excessive Thirst?

I have dry mouth and urinate a lot. This began suddenly two weeks ago. I tried a product that is said to to clear me of free radicals and is an antioxidant. Now I have these symptoms. My tongue is not pasty but very dry. When I drink to refresh, it feels as though my tongue repells and my thirst is left unsatisfied.

Hi,
Thanks for asking.
Based on your query, my opinion is as follows.
1. Frequent urination with excessive thirst is commonly thought of diabetes mellitus. However, looking at the history it appears to be due to medication.
2. The medication has cause oxidative injury of the mucosal lining and hence it has led to present pasty dry feeling.
3. Take good amount of fluids and avoid anything spicy or sour. Mucosa healing might take upto 15 days. Once it recovers, your fluid intake will become normal and also your frequent urination will return to normal. Not to worry. You can take throat soothening agents to help you in the time being.
Hope it helps.
Any further queries, happy to help again.
