Hi,I am Dr. Shanthi.E (General & Family Physician). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
Hi Dr. Rynne,I am a male 32. I just got back from my urology appointment and had the outpatient procedure of using the camera to see into my urethra and bladder. I had been experiencing some sensations to frequently go to the bathroom. I had numerous urine tests (as well for cultures) to see what the issue was. All tests came back negative. The hospital doctor said I had some small scarring in my bladder. Possibly from an infection at some point. Also I had a pre ulcer last year. I took medication and changed my diet which seemed to have worked for the pre ulcer. I still kinda have the urge to go but not as frequent. This started about 2 and a half months ago. Is there anything else I can do? Is this something I have to wait out? It obviously weighs on me and my health. Any information would be helpful.
I think you should also test glucose levels fasting and postprandial and HBA1C to check for possible diabetes. Also, check your diet to spot which foods can trigger it such coffee, tomatoes, spicy food causing irritating bladder. Avoid these foods.
Take care. Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.
Regards,
Dr. Olgeta Xhufka, General & Family Physician
