What Causes Frequent Urination?

Hi Doc. For the past 2 days I urinate a lot. I drink a lot of water too. Like after 30 minutes I pee or sometimes I pee after 10 minutes then after 2 hours it. And at night like 3 times I pee. And when I pee it takes seconds to urinate. Do I have a serious problem? I m so worried right now please help me

Hi,
Thanks for posting in HCM.
I understand your concern.
Based on the description of your symptoms, it appears that you could be having inflammation of urethra called 'urethritis' with associated urinary tract infection.
The other causes which could be associated is enlarged prostate gland and urinary symptoms associated with diabetes mellitus.
Kindly do the following investigations to know what could be the cause.
1. Urine routine examination.
2. Urine for culture and sensitivity.
3. Ultrasound scan of the abdomen to look for kidneys and urinary tract along with the status of prostate gland.
4. Blood tested for Fasting glucose, Post-prandial glucose and Glycated hemoglobin (HbA1c).
Kindly consult Urologist with report for clinical evaluation and further management.
