What Causes Frequent Vomiting After Excessive Intake Of Alcohol?

Hi am an idiot and overdid it with a lot of alcohol almost a week ago now and the first day and a half I was stuck in bed throwing up whenever it seems my body felt like it until it was just bile and dry heaving unless I was passed out. Im still feeling a LOT of nausea and very near feeling like Im going to vomit sometimes still and Im not sure if it's just because I really do not normally drink any, let alone that much alcohol at once (750ml Vodka) . Am I feeling like this because the alcohol just irritated my stomach so much its still recovering or did I give myself mild alcohol poisoning that's taking its time to leave?

Hi,

Yes its the vodaka, that caused Acute Gastritis. It may last for few more days.. if left untreated. If alcohol consumed empty stomach or with little food and in such big quantity , yes it causes gastritis.
If possible you can start treatment with injectables like Inj Ranitidine and Inj Ondensetron that to be given intravenously by Doctort then switch on oral medicines . Or otherwise start oral medicines.. Tan Pantoprezole or Rabeprazol combined with anti-emetic tad. Domperidone.

Take light, non-spicy food with plenty of fluids. Take food with regular intervals. Avoid sleeping empty stomach.

Get well soon.
