What Causes Frequent Yeast Infections Post Fallopian Tube Removal?

Hi, I m 31 years old and experienced my first yeast infection in late August of this year. I have since had two more so that s three yeast infections in a little over 2 months. Prior to the first time I had both of my Fallopian tubes removed. Could that be the cause? I have done everything suggested to me to prevent this from happening again but it just keeps coming back. I m taking probiotics, I eat yogurt everyday, switched to cotton underwear, changed my soaps to something milder I m even drinking apple cider vinegar mixed with water twice a day. I don t know what else I can do. I look forward to hearing from you, thank you!

General Surgeon 's  Response
Hello,

It is not related to surgery.

Consult a gynaecologist and get evaluated.

As of now you can use clotrimazole lotion to cleanse your genitals.

If symptoms persists oral antifungal might be required.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. Shinas Hussain,
General & Family Physician
