Hi,I am Dr. Shanthi.E (General & Family Physician). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
I have a fullness feeling in one of my ears and sometimes both - the ear nose and throat doctor as well as my primary care physician find nothing wrong - I sometimes have vertigo as well - please hurry with my answer because I am not on my own computer- thank you
As per your query you have fullness in your ear along with vertigo . Well the probable reason for your symptoms is ETD ( eustachian tube dysfunction ) . This is a small tube that balance pressure between oral cavity and middle ear . Due to reasons like infection of upper respiratory track , sinusitis and post nasal drip , mucous goes into eustachian tube and sometimes reach the middle ear also and produce such symptoms . I would suggest you to consult ENT specialist again for proper examination . Doctor will examine your ear canals and eardrums, and your nasal passages and the back of your throat. Doctor may prescribe antibiotics (amoxicillin) and decongestants . Doctor may also perform Implanting pressure equalization tubes .
Hope your concern has been resolved. Dr. Harry Maheshwari
