What Causes Fungal Infection On The Toe Nail?

So I have type 2 diabetes and my leg above my ankle is a brow age in color. Before the marks occur I had a toenail fungus and it was itchy so I would scratch my legs with my feet @ the time. So I found a solution to get rid of it and it worked. After that my leg turned a brownish color and now I have a little red spot above my ankle that itches and it is ore to the touch. What do you think about my problem?. Thanks for your input.

Thanks for your question on Healthcare Magic.
I can understand your concern.
Since you are diabetic and had fungal nail infection, we should definitely rule out fungal infection and cellulitis (bacterial infection) of leg.
So better to consult dermatologist and get done clinical examination of leg.
You may need need antifungal and antibacterial cream for local application.
Strict control of diabetes is needed.
Hope I have solved your query. I will be happy to help you further. Wish you good health. Thanks.
