What Causes Gag Reflex While On Blood Pressure Medication?

my 86 year old mother have been on blood pressure medicine for awhile and one of them is causing a a verybad {chronic} she sometimes gags, her doctor took her off ramprisil her cough is not better only been a week but its keeping her from enjoying everday life ex. sleep reg. activities what can she do. we hate to see her like this .we expained this to doctor but to no avail.

I need to ask you little more about her pre-existing illnesses and what other medications is she taking. This could be due to number of reasons like drug related, GERD, sinusitis etc. All these things need to be addressed but only after proper history and thorough examination and testing. I suggest you to visit your doctor again to see if he can help in this regard.
