What Causes Gagging In An Elderly Patient With An H/o Diabetes?

I get things caught in my throat . Any small piece of food may lodge in the back of my throat. causing me to choke ,coff, gag etc. eventually it will dislodge and I will caugh it up . Why I am a 75 yr. old male with chf and have type 2 diabetes and an enlarged prostate . I take all of the standard meds for these ailments . Any reason or do,I just inhale at the wrong time.

they are not related. get throat examined by ent doctor for diagnosis and advise on treatment.it can be any growth in throat or chronic infection.
