Hello!
Thanks for using healthcaremagic.com
I read carefully your question and understand your concern.
I think you child may have
Adenoiditis.
Adenoiditis is very common among my little patients who visits my clinics.
In the first meeting i perform a small test with a small, flexible tube with a lighted camera on the end that is inserted into the nose or throat. Then i view the nasal passages and adenoids on a video screen during
endoscopy.
The treatments always include medications that suppress the main discomforts, such as antihistamines(
Allegra ODT, Seldane, Palgic) , which remove most of the discomforts and of which there is a great variety, even frequently associated with decongestants to improve the effect, especially if the
nasal obstruction predominates. Depending on the case, anti-inflammatory drugs(Advil, Motrin,Aleve) of the type of
steroids or cortisones may also be used, either applied directly to the nose or orally.
Kind Regards,
Dr. Oscar Martinez
