Hi,

Considering all the symptoms and the fact that burning disappear after a couple of min and after taking nexium (a drug that reduce the production of stomach acid), in my opinion, the cause of your husband's symptoms is Gastroesophageal reflux disease.

Anyway, your husband just had a stent and for this reason.it is very important to consult his treating doctor because it may be necessary to do an EKG to exclude the cardiac origin of his chest burn.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
