What Causes Glaring When Seeing A Backlit Lighted Screen?

I just moved and went to a new eye dr. Previous exam was 4 years ago at age 56. I had difficulty seeing this screen as it was a backlit lighted screen and seemed to cause glare and ghosting. So I have some concern my prescription may not be correct as it seems to be quite different from previous years.
The Dr. said the change was "small".
SPH      CYL      AXIS YEAR
O.D.     -1.50     -1.00     090      2004
O.D.     -1.25     -1.00     092      2007
O.D.     -1.25     -0.75     095      2011
O.D.     -0.25     -1.50     100      2015
I have lazy eye in my left eye, so the right eye is only one of concern. Is this a "small" change?
