What Causes Gnawing Pain In Jaw, Ear Ache, Headache?

i have a gnawing pain in my jaw it is constant comes and goes and also leads to a earache and headache on the same side as the pain right side of face which is making me irritable and tired i have tried cold compress and paracetemol not working the pain is excrucaiting and annoying had it since last night

Hi thanks for contacting HCM...

You have unilateral pain with headache and jaw pain associated with earache.

First get your ear examined....
If labyrinthitis like infection present then reffered headache can occur....
Otoscopy , rinne test and weber test along with PTA useful....
It will also help in rule out otitis media if present....
So if ear infection there antibiotic ear drops and oral antibiotic given.

Second here palpate salivary gland esp submandibular gland along with lymph node palpation...

Sometime pain can be by neuralgia for which steroid needed.
If along with your symptoms if you have red streakes or prominent vein then ESR done and subsequent biopsy if needed to rule out temporal arteritis.

I have given you possible causes but physical examination done first which guides further for investigation.
